Curriculum

Our Curriculum

The government now requires every school to publish its curriculum on the school's website. The latest National Curriculum came into force in September 2014.

The school uses a variety of resources to deliver the National Curriculum. We use the 'Chris Quigley' skills based curriculum approach based around a whole school topic. This offers an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum. We use White Rose Hub resources for mastery Maths teaching and have the 'Colllins Connect' Maths Scheme which is used throughout the school. We also invested in 'JIGSAW' which is a whole school approach to PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education). RE follows the Local Authority agrees syllabus and uses schemes of work from the Oxford Diocese Board of Education to support teaching.

Each member of staff is responsible for overseeing the provision of particular subjects. Staff set an action plan each term to ensure the subject is monitored and resourced effectively.

 E- Safety

E-safety is very important to us.

In the link below you will find lots of information and tips on how to keep your child safe on line.

Assessment Information Evening - SATs (Year 2 and Year 6 parents)

A presentation was given to our Year 2 and Year 6 parents on Monday evening to ensure the arrangements for testing in May are understood.  Teachers talked through the Mock SATs week and how these had been organised. Sample papers were shared as well as support materials that are available on the school website.

If parents wish to discuss their child's individual performance within the week, then you are very welcome to make an appointment with the class-teacher.
