A small school with a big vision
This week, I asked you to focus on your achievements - did you take some time to identify a moment when you felt proud of yourself? Having received so many examples of your amazing learning, I think I could identify hundreds of medal-worthy efforts! Well done, Kingfishers! I am so proud of you all!
In English, you have explored the use of short sentences to create tension and the impact of personification within setting descriptions - I have loved reading your atmospheric writing! Year 5 have tackled decimals, including ordering and rounding, and Year 6 have explored the relationship between decimals and fractions. You have also continued your exploration of translation! In Geography/History, you investigated features of the River Thames, including the Thames Barrier, and created timelines to show key events in the history of the river. Descriptive reports about the 'Frost Fairs' brought one of these historical events to life! You have created beautiful folded paper kimonos, linked to our Host Country, Japan, choreographed your own dances and explored scientists who have invented new materials.
What a stunning range of learning!
