Good morning super Swallows!

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

As you know, our topic this term is Epic Expeditions and we are focusing on mountains.  We will be learning about the British explorers who have reached the summit of the highest mountain in the world – Mount Everest.

In the slideshow below are pictures of my Dad (the one in the middle!) at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.  It took him a whole week to climb to the top.  Mount Kilimanjaro is 5895 metres high!

The highest mountain I’ve climbed is Ben Nevis in Scotland at 1345 metres high.

This week I’d like you to find out what is the highest mountain you, your family or friends have climbed in the world? Can you look up how many metres high that mountain is?

I’m looking forward to finding out how high we’ve been in Swallows class! Please email me with your answers and a picture if you have one! 😊

Have a great week - I’m looking forward to receiving all your home learning!

Take care

Mrs Wood xx
