What can cave paintings tell us about daily life, beliefs and communication in the Palaeolithic?
We studied examples of Palaeolithic cave paintings and questioned the images - how were they created? What do they tell us about the people who created them? What animals were being hunted at this time? What weapons were the hunters using?
We began with pencil drawings, imitating the style of the Palaeolithic artists. We then created our own cave art using chalk pastels. We 'signed' our work with our handprints.
