Pupils in Kingfishers class have enjoyed some fascinating trips over the last few weeks. Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a tour of the House of Parliament - it is notoriously difficult to secure a place to attend but we persevered!  We were given a personal tour of the Houses of Lords and Commons and shown behind the scenes where voting takes place and the minutes are recorded. we ended our tour in Westminster Hall, where many have lain in state. We then had a guided tour of sites from Parliament Square to Trafalgar Square, ending our day at the National Gallery. 

Two weeks later Kingfishers were off again - to Singh Sabha Gurudwara in Slough. We were completely humbled by the commitment to serving others that we saw. We learned a huge amount about respect and how we can show this to our 'brothers and sisters' regardless of religious beliefs. We saw the 5Ks and how and why there are important. We then shared a very tasty vegetarian meal in the langar kitchen.
