  Two days before Sports Day we welcomed Team GB England Senior Team 400M Champion Finalist, GB U20 4X400M team member and future Olympian Michael Fagbenle into school.

  Giving full credit to parents, Michael spoke about being inspired into athletics by a book his dad gave him by Michael Johnson. Despite the setback of a broken leg through a relay race, Michael has persevered to achieve his ambitions so far. He hopes to reach the Olympics next!

   

  Each class had a session with Michael which they really enjoyed. They asked him some excellent questions such as, ’What goes through your mind before the race?’. Michael was very impressed with our children and said that he had not come across a school where the children had such passion and interest in sport.

   

  

• Year 6 Leaver's Service at Christ Church Cathedral

  It was a huge privilege to take our Year 6 pupils by train to Oxford for a very special Leavers Service at Christ Church Cathedral.
